Miles of walking and checking out the sites of DC with our midway destination to be Capitol City Brewing Co. We stopped for some lunch and beers to try DC’s brewery. This spot is definitely for the DC tourist and had more of a sports bar vibe than a brewery. The only decor that resembles a brewery was the many kegs on a second-floor balcony.

JR got the flight but I just wanted a nice cold lager to wash down some healthy food because we had been at it hard that weekend checking out as many spots as possible. I got the Capitol Kolsch which was great and perfectly crisp to go with my Cobb salad. JR tried a taster of them all. His favorite turned out to be Fuel, their Russian Imperial Stout. Their IPA’s did not do it for him but he found one that rated higher than the rest.
