Atlas Brew Works

Atlas Brew Works was our last stop for the day which I was the most excited for just because of the name.  I always wanted to name my child (or dog) Atlas because it’s so attractive and award sounding.  I was hoping for worldly beer names and a geographical atmosphere but it was just a plain warehouse brewery not living up to its theme in my personal opinion based on my expectations.

They are below Jos. A. Magnus Co. (which we visited before the brewery based on time frame) and it is very large with high ceilings.  Their flights consist of choosing 3 each which we did and enjoyed them outside on their patio before it started raining.  The most interesting fact about this brewery is that they are 100% solar powered!

This brewery is a great place located in the Ivy City of D.C.  If you are in a large party they have plenty of room inside and outside.  For those who want to try a DC brewery and distillery in one stop!
