About Us

We are not writers but we had to somehow document the adventure of a lifetime…

Who Are We?

We are J.R. and Traci who love to laugh, explore, try new things and to constantly travel and share this one life we get so we live it up!  We decided to sell whatever we have and buy a home on wheels.  Our plan is to travel the states and Canada to see the beautiful terrain of North America that’s already in our back yard.  After that, who knows where the road will take us!

What Else Are We Planning?

Travel is not the only passion we have in common but also the love for craft beer, wine, and spirits!  We plan to hit every single brewery, winery, and distillery every state we travel to.  We want to taste everything and expand our palate writing about our favorites at every stop!  As a craft beer salesperson and certified wine/spirits professional I get asked the question “what is your favorite brewery or winery” and I always respond “I do not know as I have not tried them all.”  So definitely check in with us if you want to try a new brewery, winery or distillery.

Who Are We Taking With Us?

We have two more traveling with us, our pups Lola and Lambic!  Lola is very set in her ways but cuddly Miniature Schnauzer and Lambic is a young, fun-loving Shichon who wants to greet everyone!  I am sure this will be a challenge with them but we can’t leave our babies behind.

Why Are We Doing This?

This is an informational and memorable blog for us to keep track of our adventures!  We want to document how to get on the road full time as well as write about this most epic adventure but for those who love travel, craft beer, wine, spirits or just want to know what RV life is like check in every now and then!  New adventures, travel reviews, product reviews and pictures galore heading your way!  Enjoy!

RV Life

We aren’t on the road full time yet but we are only in our 30’s and have much to accomplish before we set on for the RV Life! There are so many questions to answer and life situations to figure out such as debt, too many materials, and what business we can run together while funding us on the road.

Sure we could be like everyone else winging it, but we decided to get all our ducks in a row before we set off. After all this trip is mostly to figure out where we want to settle down for good as we are not huge fans of where we have been living for many years.

For now we are taking mini trips with our RV to settle any RV issues or lifestyle changes we may endure. So far living in an a small space RV together has not been an issue at all! We actually think living in our RV has brought us closer together. The feeling of really being able to rely on each other and support the other has been a real ease. We have a routine down with the dogs, with the way we park, and who has responsibilities during the set up/break down process.

Global Ventures

We are not just traveling around in our RV, we also have a zest for experiencing new cultures! We have traveled separately for many years before we met but now traveling to other countries together has been more epic than before.

Throughout our Global Ventures we have a great routine of spontaneity, whereas most people like to stick to an Itinerary. As long as we tour a great museum, take a ride through the countryside, walk along the city streets and find a pub for a local beverage we are always happy campers!

Craft Beer America

Craft Beer America is our journey to see all or most American made craft breweries.  Why, because it’s our second passion right after travel so we decided to combine our two favorite passions and turn our craft beer America into a journey of a lifetime.  J.R. and I met for the first time at a local craft brewery on a random Wednesday afternoon.  After talking for a few hours we realized we both had one major thing in common, craft beer!  When you meet someone who also has a copy of The Beer Bible, you know its a sign!  We love trying everything and experiencing how our palates change/grow with everything we taste.  Craft beer taste changes with the foods you eat, the hop varieties, malt varieties, fruits and so much more!  We decided when we started this traveling idea that we would blog about every brewery, winery and distillery we traveled to.

Particularly the Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA which is a blend of Dogfish Head’s two year round main stream craft beers, 60 minute and 90 minute.  Dogfish Head is JR’s favorite brewery and is located in Milton, Delaware only 40 minutes from our hometown.  This great craft brewery has been around since the mid 90’s and has prospered the most on Delmarva thus far!

Traci’s Favorite style of Beer:  Belgianscraft beer sandstorm

Particularly the 3rd Wave SandStorm Belgian Tripel which is filled with Mt Hood hops and sweet Belgian Rock candied Sugar.  It’s also 9% in alcohol so that doesn’t hurt either!  This is another Delaware brewery that opened in the 2012 and is owned by females which really inspires me!  This brewery is young the beer is stable and delicious, always making me come back for more.

Are We Craft Beer Connoisseurs?

I can definitely say we are not craft beer connoisseurs because there is always something new to learn and taste.  You can say we have a passion for craft beer and like to challenge our palate whenever possible!  Anyone can learn reading, to tasting and exploring the many breweries that are available to us just in America.

Why is this part of our Travel Goals?

With the rise and growth of so many micro breweries, single vineyards and small distilleries we have to ride the wave and taste for ourselves while these businesses are actively creating.  You can follow our journey and learn our favorites at each place.  Most of all we are looking forward to looking back on these posts to remember our experiences.
